Tony Karadzhov was born and raised in the Eastern European country of Bulgaria. As a child, he trained in gymnastics for four years until the age of 12 when he was introduced to Ballroom dancing. Very quickly after starting Ballroom dancing he became addicted to the sport and from then on he has devoted most of his time and energy into developing his dancing and knowledge of International DanceSport. Some of his achievements include: The 10 Dance Championship Title in Bulgaria, representing his country at the Gala Show in Macedonia for being one of the best couples in the Balkans, and receiving an award for high results in the DanceSport field from the Bulgarian DanceSport Federation. After his successful career as an amateur DanceSport Competitor, he decided to attend the National Sport’s Academy of Bulgaria to receive a 4-year-degree in DanceSport Instruction. One of his professors at the Academy, who is also the president of the Bulgarian DanceSport Professional Association, had the following things to say about Tony: “I find Mr. Karadzhov to be a very talented dancer and dedicated to be a good dance instructor as well. He is very motivated to develop his knowledge and abilities for dancing and teaching. He is very communicative, cooperative, and open minded…”. For many Eastern European DanceSport couples, the road to success in their countries ends as soon as they reach the highest level of dancing, and most are searching for a way to continue competing in their sport. This is what happened to Tony, and is the reason why Tony came to the US. With qualities like: a passion for teaching, an amazing understanding of body mechanics, European proven methods of teaching, good technique, and a caring personality, it was not hard for him to be noticed by some of the best studios in the Twin Cities Metro Area. We feel lucky that he has selected “Committed to DanceSport” to represent his talents.
